Easy Homemade Coconut Chips - Foodie Friday #2

by - Friday, October 14, 2016

I love blogging and writing about food and I hope you guys are enjoying these because I love being able to share my favourite recipes and foods with you!
I know a lot of people love coconut and recently it's become more popular amongst the healthy food category. This recipe isn't exactly healthy but it's for all you coconut lovers out there who just need to satisfy their sweet tooth.

What you need
- 1 and 1/2 Cup of Coconut Flakes
- 2 and 1/2 tsp Water
- 2 Tbs Sugar
- Pinch Salt

Method
1. Preheat oven to 150 C
 2. Pour Coconut Flakes into a bowl
3. Mix together Water, Sugar and Salt together.
4. Pour mixture into the Coconut Flakes
5. Mix together until the Coconut Flakes are covered with the Sugar and Salt
6. Spread the Coconut Flakes out on a tray with baking paper
6. At this point if you feel like you need more sugar then add a few more pinches of Sugar
7. Place in the oven for about 3-5 minutes. They will brown very quickly so make sure you don't take your eye off them for too long. Your oven may be different to mine and may take longer than 5 minutes so keep checking just in case.
8. Once they are slightly toasted take them out of the oven and let the cool, when they are cool, they'll be much crispier.
