Healthy Green Smoothie

Summer is here and ever since getting a NutriBullet making a smoothie every morning has been the best breakfast.

There are two different smoothies I like to alternate between every now and then, tropical and berry. Both smoothies use the same recipe with the fruit being the only difference

Fruit (Tropical)
- Pineapple: 4/5
- Mango: 2/3
- Peaches: 2/3
- Banana: 4/5 (half)

Fruit (Berry)

- Berry Mix (3-5 types): 1/4 or 1/2 cup
- Banana: 4/5 (half)

Greens (Optional but highly recommended)
- Kale: handful
- Spinach: 1/2 handful

Liquid (Your pick)
- Fruit tea: Peach and Pineapple
- Green Tea

Extras (Optional but I highly recommend at least one to get in that extra boost)
- Oats: 1/2 spoons
- Almonds: 4/5
- Any other seeds (chia, flax, linseed, pumpkin): 1 spoon

- Honey: 1/2 spoon
- Dates: 1-3

Last of all ICE

Obviously this is ALL optional. In no way am I saying that this is the way to make your smoothies. If you have allergies to any of these ingredients or you are on a specific diet feel free to remove or substitute for other things. This is my preference to what I like and you should create your own recipe

Freeze your fruit, this means it will be extra cold and thick!

If you're using dates, cut them up. This makes them easier to blend as well as reducing the amount of chunks left in your drink

Coconut water or juice also works really well with this smoothie recipe because it adds quite the bit of sweetness, if you're not a fan of any of the other sweeteners I use. You can also add sugar to your tea when its hot then chill it so that it is sweeter.

Hope you enjoy!
