5 Things I Want To Accomplish

by - Friday, April 15, 2016

Goals. Something we have been talking about since primary school days (at least for me anyways). I would always be made to set goals in classes, things like drink more water, pack a healthy lunch, play at least one sport, join at least one extra curricular activity.
It wasn't until recently that I realised how important goal setting is. I find that in my everyday life I continuously set myself a new goal, whether it just be completing my homework by the end of the day or finishing that assignment by the end of the week.

Today I decided why not share with you 5 things I would like to accomplish

1. Try harder and get good results in my assignments
Now it's not like I haven't been trying but what I would like to do, is give everything my best go and not start an assignment last minute. I am terrible at this right now as I always get so busy wehn the week the task is due comes around.

2. Make good French macarons.
I remember the first time I tried baking these delicious goods, they turned out as flat as a pancake. The second time I tried they turned out pretty decent.

Hopefully third times the charm

3. Make more time for relaxing
I obviously didn't realise how stressful university is and although so many people have told me the amount of all nighters they do I still thought "it can't be that bad can it?" Well it is. Although I really enjoy my degree I have had so much work built up I just haven't been able to find time to chill and have a break.

4. Make more time for typography
One of my newest hobbies I have picked up is hand lettering and calligraphy. I haven't gone too much into calligraphy but I definitely am interested. I realised that I need to spend more time doing hand lettering as it is something I really really enjoy. I also sell some of my hand lettering on my own Etsy store and as it is still quite new and since I haven't had much time for it, it's not fully stocked yet.

5. Keep up with blogging
To be quite honest, I think I had done a decent job. I try to post on Mondays and Fridays and so far I have only missed one. I do wish I had more time to take photos and write out my blog posts so that they truly are the best.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, let me know some of your own goals you want to achieve :)

  4. I find that goal setting through a blog post is when it really hits me and motivates me. It's like I see it somewhere other than my crazy mind and realise I can accomplish it!

  11. I've never actually tried to make or eaten a macaroon before. Once you think you're the best of the bestest you should write a post about how to make them maybe?!

  14. YES to the macarons, they're my favourite dessert but I've never tried making them - definitely on my goals list now too! And I agree, blogging is so consuming and can be hard to schedule in but having specific posting days that suit you is a good way to make sure you do it! x

  27. Great post! I think long term and short term goals are very important to keeping you on track and mapping out where you want to go.
I definitely identify with numbers 3 and 4; I always put off relaxing now that I work from home and I want to start doing hand-lettering again or cross stitch because I really enjoyed doing them before life got in the way lol
