Top Three Drugstore Cleansers

by - Friday, March 11, 2016

Today I decided to share with you guys three of my favourite inexpensive cleansers and face washes. Stress, eating habits and hormones can really impact the way my skin looks and feels so I find that these have been the best I have found so far.

St Ives Apricot Scrub
- Paraben & Sulfate Free
- Salicylic Acid
- Non Comedogenic
- Hypoallergenic
- Dermatologist Tested

This is a cult favourite among beauty bloggers and youtubers and I have to say that this helps fight the spots every time. I've probably repurchased this about 10 times already since I discovered this and I definitely won't be stopping soon.

Garnier Anti Shine Cleansing Gel
- Paraben Free
- Sensitive Skin
- Salicylic Acid
- Green Tea Extracts
- Moringa Extract

I haven't really heard anyone talk about this a whole lot. I really enjoy this as an everyday use especially in the morning to prep my skin. I find that it does actually help mattify the skin to some extent but it obviously won't last all day

Clean & Clear Deep Action Daily Scrub
- Oil free
- Won't Clog Pores
- Salicylic Acid
- Apple Extract
- Micro Scrubbing Beads

So this is a much newer purchase in the beginning of January because I felt like I needed a scrub that wasn't as extreme as the St Ives one. This caught my eye because it stated 'daily' and true to it's word it is a very gentle exfoliant that you can definitely use everyday.

Overall all these cleansers are great in my opinion, they have a clean fresh scent and I find they do help the skin cleanse off all the dirt and makeup. Let me know if you have any cleansers, scrubs that you would recommend!

Thanks for reading :)

  3. I also have the St Ives scrub and I swear by the cleanser by Clean & Clear. I would highly recommend the Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating cleanser - it’s honestly amazing when you feel like your skin is starting to break out!

    1. I don't really go for higher end skin care products because I find most drugstore products do a good job already - but I have read quite a few good reviews on Clarins products so I might try that soon! :) xx

  4. The St Ives scrub is my all time favourite (if I'm not wanting to spend an arm and a leg in Lush, that is!). I find the smell so comforting and it gets the job done every time.

    1. I also love the cetaphil gentle cleanser but I find that to be a bit more expensive although you do get a lot more product :) It's around $20 for a 500ml bottle in NZ so it's not tooo extreme xx

  9. This isn't a drug store recommendation, but I absolutely love the First Aid Beauty daily cleanser. It's so gentle and makes your face squeaky clean without drying it out. It is $20 (in the U.S.), but I think you get quite a lot of product and a pea size is all you need for your face! I highly recommend it if you're ever looking to try something new.
